Birthday Celebration Dinner @ Opus Bistro, Bangsar

After work, CS came picked me for birthday dinner. I was quite curious on the location. When he told me it was around Ampang area. I almost had a heart attack. I worked around Kerinchi Area. Ampang Area was like 20km away from Kerinchi (refer to google map). Kuala Lumpur was famous for traffic jam especially near buka puasa time. CS was a person heavily rely on GPS. I really went in the shock mode, keep trying to figure out the best route to get there. The reservation time was 7.30pm. faint.

 It was getting weirder when he drive around Jalan Maarof. Then around Jalan Telawi, then around Jalan Bangkung. It was such a quiet street in an elegant residential area. Weird, is this the right road to Ampang.???

Only I realised he planned a surprise for me. Very cheeky CS. blek.

The bread is very soft and tender. It matches so well with olive oil

Since the last visit at Huck's Cafe, CS was in love with creme brulee. He love the crispy caramel on top of the creme... while i prefer to eat without the burned caramel but with strawberry... sometime I think we 2 were really having

Chocolate Desire

I really like this. The cake have firm crust. Inside was soft. then there was the chocolate lava. It was great combination with vanila ice cream

The cake was a bit, the mouse or cream was better. it was soft and tender. My colleague and I love it because it was not too sweet an it is truly chocolate.

BF's Birthday Celebration @ Huck Cafe,Bangsar

It took me months to plan for his birthday. I really had fun and thrilled to research and design the birthday celebration. I came across the private kitchen concept from one of the flogger. The price per pax was within my budget too. Thus, I quickly make a reservation a month before his birthday. Seeing all the food on facebook tempted me more. I had discussion with my jimui and other guy colleagues. In the end, I choose surprise meal for the dinner.

One of the keropok was a bit soft. The acar was well marinated.

 Basil Seed Mint Soda
I having great time chewing basil seed. 3 drinks was served that night.
1) Basil Seed Mint Soda as welcome drink
2) Lemon Grass Tea as Second drink. This was served with our main dish
3) Coffee or Tea. This was served  with dessert
4) Sky juice with lemon to ease our thirst
Among the 3 drinks served that night, Basil Seend Mint Soda was bf's favourite. Hmmm first 2 drinks was my favourite^^

 Asparagus Soup
First time try asparagus soup. The taste was great. 

 Mushroom Soup
The best mushroom soup we ever tasted. This is a real mushroom soup where we can taste different kind of mushroom bits. Every spoon is filled with different mushroom bits. The taste was rich and smooth. We can really taste the freshness of the mushroom.

Fairy Hair Spaghetti was my love as it was thin and easy to chew. We are quite shocked with the size of the fish. The fish was not those kind of frozen fish fillet sold in hypermarket. It was cut fresh from fish. The fresh was thick. Since this fish was baked, it was not oily at all. It was so crsipy through out the meal. What amused us was. After 45 minutes of enjoying the meal ( yes I ate very slow), there are still smoke of steam came out from the food.

 Pamigiana Chicken Mushroom
The Chicken was marinated well. However due to it combination with fried potato. We feel a bit oily and tired for the last portion of the meal. The fish dish was better. It was light favour with a bit sour thus it was easier to enjoy.

 Durian Mud Cake
The combination of biscuit, durain icecream, raisin, peanut, durian. Finally in 3 months time i got the chance to enjoy durian. Reason BF was super duper durian hater =.=

Creme Brulee
It was fun to see the cream brue was burned in fornt of us. This is very milky and smooth. =.= bf have a hard time eating the strawberry. reason he cannot stand the strawberry smell =.=

The total cost for this meal was RM176

Unfortunate Event

7.15pm
Reach home. I was shocked to see the house gate, iron grill door and sliding door was left open. There was an red umbrella left there too. My first instinct was my house been break in... I look up there was light on third floor. Fear that the thief is still inside. I anxiously called my house mates and bf.

7.30pm
I was holding tightly to a broom waiting at the car pouch. My boyfriend reached here. Since he been a guy, he walked inside to investigate. When he came out of the house, he told me all the room was messy and things were gone. I immediately called 911

911:  hello sini 911
me: Encik, rumah saya masuk pencuri
911: ok saya akan sambung anda ke balai police
police: nama cik?
me: xxxxxx
police: tel?
me:xxx-xxxxxxxxxx
911: alamat?
me: xxxxx................
police: ok sekarang saya hantar police ke rumah anda. anda bertunggu di luar sekejap
me: terima kasih

We ask a few of our guy friends to accompany us.

8pm
One of my house mate was backed. I search on phone for the nearest police station tel. I called to the nearest one

me: encik saya telephone report rumah saya masuk pencuri pada 7.30pm. bila police sampai?
police: you call mana ini?
me: I called 911 dan dia cakap akan hantar sebentar.
police: ooh nama?
me: xxxxxxx
police: tel?
me: xxx-xxxxx
police: alamat?
me: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
police: sekejap kami akan hantar sebentar lagi
me: the telephone hang down by police

8.30pm
I called the police again, asking what time they are coming? they ask me to wait inside the living hall. police will reach soon. Bf used his camera to take photos for evidence.

9pm
I called the police again

Me: Encik bila sampai? tadi saya called 7.30pm tapi police belum sampai
police: nama cik?

police: tel?

police: itu pencuri sudah pergi?
Me: ya
police: thn you kena datang balai police buat report lah. baru kami boleh hantar orang ambil photo.
Me: Apa document perlu bawa?
police: ic lah

9.15pm - 10.00pm
Made police report. Met investigator.Sargen asked us to go home as the CSI was on their way.

10.05pm
waited at home

11.00pm
CSI reached. He took out camera just shoot 2 photos of each room. 2 photo of the gate. 2 photo of the sliding door. No finger print was taken. The umbrella we asked him to take back since it was left by the thief.    CSI taught us how to lock the sliding door for that night. ask us to changed to the older design lock.

12am
finish cleaning the house

Refer the story above, I do not wish to comment on the effectiveness of the police. I lost my beloved dslr canon 500d and toshiba laptop. My room's door was beyond repair.

Thank you everyone who help us during this unfortunate event and aftermath.

Despite this unfortuned event, I wish everyone can live in peace, secure and healthy. May all be well.
Once is gone , we can't do any thing but let it go
Focus on the present and plan for the future
