Doi Chaang Coffee @ City Square, Johor Bahru

26 September 2014

If you been reading this blog, LerLer enjoy outdoor activities and  back to nature activities.  The image below is very beautiful. Deep in the Northern of Thailand mountain, there is a small tribe. They plant some coffee in the high attitude mountain. As the place is quite remote and deep in the forest, they only use organic fertilizer to grow the best coffee bean.

This story was told by Mr. Ivan, the owner of Doi Chaang Johor Bahru. LerLer love the story. Local tribe develop their own land. Agriculture is a good source of income too. Although the yied may not be too high, local will not be hungry as the food is just nearby. LerLer hope one day I can visit this beautiful place, Doi Chaang.

Doi Chaang Organic Blue Tea RM7.50
Light taste. The tea only soak for 4 minutes. The tea will be just nice. Not too bitter or too light. Barista really careful with the timing too. If you are tea lover or dessert lover like me, this tea is very suitable with dessert.

Finest Doi Chaang Organic Blue Tea (Wu Long Soft Branch) with a delicate light floral scent from tea leaf itself no flavor added. It delivers a powerful antioxidant punch that can be enjoyed any time of day.

Vanilla Millie Crepe
I love the chocolate plate art. The white plate is like a canvas for the artist to paint it. He painted a beautiful cup on it.

Cappuccino RM10.50
Check out the beautiful coffee flower on the cup

Chocolate Mouse
Rich chocolate cake with milk chocolate cream and wrap up by dark chocolate source. *Slurp

Green Tea Mille Crepe
Don't you think the chocolate rose is very beautiful? Taste is more important for me. The green tea cream has this perfect combination with red bean paste. It is not very sweet. As I mentioned before, blue valley tea is very light in taste. It doesn't wrap up all our tongue senses. It go so well with the mile crepe.

Tiramisu
This tiramisu is served frozen cold. Mr. Ivan explained that this is to maintain the fragrance of coffee and the fully light cream cheese.

Double Shot Coffee RM9.00
I also learn about the art of coffee. Ms. Corinn explained that "shot" is the measurement of coffee. She also let me try up this cup of coffee. While, I am not a coffee expert. I can't explain the taste that well. I just find it very bitter with a bit of sour.Remember to check out MyKopiBreak blog

  1. Doi Chaang really not so atas in Bangkok, there are a lot of small mobile popup stalls for Doi Chaang that sells very normal but ok coffee.

The JB one looks really really nice! The owners have put in a lot of effort.

Next time you come to Bkk, let's have a LerLer meets Stranger in Bangkok, no?
