Qing Palace Chinese Restaurant @ Pulai, Johor

1 November 2014

After attending 53rd UTM Convocation, we drove to Qing Palace Chinese Restaurant for family Gathering. We used this opportunity to celebrate grand mum birthday and my convocation. There are many elders at this family gathering. I asked for permission before I took a photo.

If you are eating with elder, please remember to address them before consume. This will be more polite culture. Try to avoid letting camera "consume the food first"

Five Varieties of Cold Dish Combination 冷热五拼盘
 The fried chicken ball is very crispy. The chicken mince is well marinated.

Dried Seafood Soup 海鲜汤
I do not consume shark fin soup and supporter to save shark. I request the soup to change to dried sea food soup.

Szechuan Garlic Chicken 四川蒜泥鸡
 This dish is not popular among my family members. It is served cold. We are not used to eating cold chicken dish.

Steamed Seabass with Vegetable in Chef’s Special Sauce 葡式蒸金目鲈
 It is not spicy as we expected. It is very suitable for young children too.

Braised Sea Cucumber with Black Mushrooms 冬菇海参
 Sea cucumber is my grand mum's favourite food. Sea cucumber is very tender and soft. It contained high collagen too.

Stewed Vegetable with Dried Soya and Mixed Mushrooms 三菇豆筋时蔬

Yang Zhou Fried Rice扬州炒饭
 The rice is well fried. You can see every grain is separated. Not sure why I can't fried to this standard.

Ice Longan with Almond Beancurd 龙眼豆腐

Total cost: RM538++
For Citibank credit card holder, you are entitled for additional 10% discount.
