Jalan Tan Hiok Nee is one of the oldest street in down town Johor Bahru. Other than coffee cafes on this street, it has many authenticate food.
Back to the year before 2009, owner of this, Mr.Keoh was in sub-contract industry, but unfortunately due to the failed of economy, he decided to participate in beef noodle business. Hence, to produce a bowl of tasty East Malaysia style beef noodle, he purposely went to Sabah Kota Kinabalu to learn the recipe from his friend. Currently, he is the first East Malaysia beef noodle maker in Johor. Firstly, He uses plenty of herbs and cow bone to cook for 7-8 hours just to make a soup base with full of taste and nutrition. Unlike most beef noodles outlets, you don’t get radish, or even salted vegetables in the beefy soup. Instead, only the most basic combination of chopped fried spring onions, and coriander as well as a dash of pepper to complement the already piping hot and flavoursome punctuated with a robust beefy taste. Maybe you can consider adding cow offal included stomach, shin, intestines, liver, tongue, but most of customers prefer to stick to the bouncy balls and tender slices of beef for the best experience. Moreover, the price is reasonable and owner is friendly.
