Mr. Ang brings  me to explore good food in Gelang Patah. Yusbe Chicken Chop is famous for its' cheap and delicious chicken chop. Goos Service Tax (GST) is around the corner. We decided to try out this cheapest chicken chop in this area.

After the meal, I chatted with the lady boss. She is the relative of the famous Hutan Bandar Chicken Chop stall. Her family is currently running 5 branches in Johor Bahru.

Grilled Chicken Chop RM8.00

It is great to enjoy a hot chicken chop. I informed the lady boss the poor food quality in Hutan Bandar. She mentioned that she was aware of the problem. They are looking for a better solution in near future.

Passion Food Cafe & Bakery New Menu April 2015, Johor Bahru

Ms. Loo (Passion Food Cafe's entrepreneur)  invited Macherie Johor Bloggers to try out their new menu. When I received her invitation card, I was relatively surprised. April 2015 was the most challenging month in the year 2015. Malaysia was going to implement Good Service Time (GST). Frankly speaking, it may be a confusing month. However, life still need to go on. My tummy still need food. Let check out their new menu.

Forest Mushroom Soup RM9.90
Every spoon of the soup is full of mushroom bits

King of Mushroom ! RM12.90
Fresh white button mushrooms are coated with golden brown crispy skin. The girls had waited for me for 15 minutes. The mushrooms still maintained the crispness. We girls finished this dish off in 3 minutes.

 Eggs Hemingway RM16.90
A well balance meal of carbohydrates, protein and vitamin. The spinach was well cooked with garlic. Some girls may find the garlic smell a bit strong. For me, the poach egg attracted me. The hollandaise sauce compliment the poach egg. 

Golden Squid Ink Pasta RM18.90

Squid ink pasta is famous for the deep black color. After eating this dish, I strongly recommend diner to drink lots of water. The squid ink may stained teeth. It will give an impression of horror movie. This didn't stop our imagination. We were joking on the effect of scaring someone else after eating this dish.

Chicken meatball with cheese in it. Cheese will flow out when you bite into half

Chop Chop @ Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru

Mr. Ang and LerLer celebrated our first valentine day in this cosy cafe. The cafe was very small yet very cosy. This cafe 's speciality is serving lunch box. We can't help been attracted by the simple dish display.

The thin slide of pork was fried till crispy and golden brown.

Mr. Ang like this well marinated grilled chicken chop. The texture is tender and soft. The mushroom sauce complimented the chicken dish.

Cheezy Murtabak, a Quick Tea Break for All

On December 2014, one of the famous TV host came to Johor Bahru to try some good food. The media effect was viral. Murtabak Cheese became a sought after dishes in Malaysia.

I am from other states. Where can I enjoy this dishes?
Do you think I can "Bungkus" (take away) the murtabak cheese to Singapore?
Is there frozen murtabank cheese available?

A great news to all Murtabak lovers. There is a Murtabak Cheese delivery service in town. Thanks to Ms. Iris, she delivered the cheezy murtabak frozen package to my area. The delivery service save my time for queuing under the hot sun.

With 3 simple cooking steps, the cheexy murtabak is ready to be served.

Although LerLer is an adult, LerLer still like to tear the cheese. I just love to see how long the cheese will be tear. Not to mention, every bite of this murtabak is full of well-marinated chicken mince.

QQ Wantan Noodle Restaurant @ Taman Universiti, Skudai, Johor

Today is the forth day of Chinese New Year. There is only one restaurant open in this street. Mr. Ang mentioned that the wanton mee is quite famous in this area.

Laksa(S) RM7.00

 The curry gravy is full of creamy coconut milk smell. The toupok has high contain of delicious curry gravy. In my opinion, the laksa noodle has the good texture.

QQ Wantan Noodle with Tomato Sauce (S) RM6.00

The wantan noodle has great texture too. It go well with sweet and sour tomato sauce.

Mr. Ang and LerLer stopped by  Kluang for Dinner. During Chinese New Year, there were not much shops operating. We drove around the town area a few time. We were very grateful to see Uncle Frog Restaurant was operating at the festival season.

The chee chong fan is as soft as silk.

Taiwan Handmade Dumpling (5 pieces) RM6.90

Juicy and tender are the two word to describe this dish.

The Cheapest Chicken Chop @ Hutan Bandar, Johor Bahru

After our weekend jog, we stop by Hutan Bandar Bistro for our dinner. This stall is famous for the cheapest western food in town. We are the second customers arrived at the stall. However, we are the 10th customer to be served with dishes. Our neighbor diners are the first customers. They waited for 45 minutes to be served. You can imagine how good is the business.

Mr. Ang like BBQ pork and roasted pork very much. Both dishes have very high cholesterol. Thus, he will make sure that we do extra exercise to remove the additional cholesterol. This time, I got the  chance to try his number ONE 's 'char siew'

Char Siew 肥婆叉烧肉 100g  RM9.50

Roasted pork is out of order. We only managed to try out the char siew.

Char Siew, well marinated and BBQ to the perfect state

Once I tasted this char siew, immediately I understand the reason. Why Mr. Ang can not forget this restaurant's char siew and roasted pork? Why is this char siew number ONE in his list?

• the lard just melted in your mouth 入口即化
• Well marinated and roasted
• there is a slighted burned crispy texture
• The meat is just so tender. Even elder folks will not have problem to chew the meat.
• The best word to describe this dish is please go try it.

 The fried vegetable is a bit oily for my taste bud. The sambal paste is good.
