LerLer: Wow! Sound interesting. Let me discuss with my girls
That how Macherie Johor Bloggers first embark onto video shooting. Tony from Johor Kaki also did a simple video production before. We were very grateful for the invitation from Infinete Loop Media. We made our way into Youtube. Even though is it just "Kalafe" / small actor characters, Mr. Ang's friends support the idea too. That was the start of our small acting experience.
1) Simple Make Up is The Basic Rule
Simple make up is essential for video shooting
For ladies, you are required to apply some foundation/BB Cream/CC Cream on face. The lighting equipment that used on production is really bright. I was advised not to look into the light. It will affected our eyesight for a moment. If you doesn't apply foundation, you will look like vampire under the bright light. Thanks to Carinn. She help me with the make up. Some lighter colour powder help to highlight my nose and cheek bone.
2) Follow Production Crew's Instruction
Director and crew members will give you a briefing on the story board. After listen to the story board, I have a feeling it will be just eating or walking around scene. The next conversation shocked me.
Director: Louis! so who will be the main character?
Louis: I think she will the right person. ( His eye was on me)
LerLer (Thinking): May be is Sherlyn ( that was beside me)
Director: Yeah. I have the same thought too. LerLer! you will be the main character.
LerLer: WHAT??? Sherlyn will be a better choice right? Right?
Sherlyn was wearing a very beautiful floral dress. While me? I was wearing my office wear with very light make up. In the end, we respect production crew's decision.
3) Waiting is Part of The Shooting Process
We can't eat the food because the dishes are props
Food preparation need time. Every scene need time to set up. Every shoot need practice.
4) Again, Again, and Again
Guess how many time I walk through the door?
Answer: I walked 8 times for 10 seconds scene. I really salute to the production crew.
5) Many Scenes for 30 Seconds Video
Behind Scene
A simple scene need to take from different angle. Thus, the action is
repeated. The video crew and lighting crew keep need to move the
equipment around.

Startup Weekends are weekend-long, hands-on experiences where
entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if start up ideas
are viable. On average, half of Start up Weekend’s attendees have
technical or design backgrounds, the other half have business
backgrounds.
Beginning with open mic pitches on Friday, attendees bring their best
ideas and inspire others to join their team. Over Saturday and Sunday
teams focus on customer development, validating their ideas, practicing
LEAN Startup Methodologies and building a minimal viable product. On
Sunday evening teams demo their prototypes and receive valuable feedback
from a panel of experts.
Well. I missed it. I only managed to attend the first 5 hours of the events.So, I stop crying over the spill milk. Let get into the top 5 lessons I missed from Startup Weekend Johor Bahru
1. 54 Hours of Happiness ( No Talk, Just Action)
After 29 ideas been pitched, each pitcher need to go around for votes. Only 20 ideas will be build over the weekend. My idea was not well received. However, I got the chance to join TEN20 team. William Yap, founder of OnZ4Sports had this idea to summarize a long content into 10 sentences.
Our team consists of participants from different background. The team members ( MUZ, RS. Tai, Cong and Foo) were working very hard to build up the product in just 54 hours. MUS built up the website and app in a short period of time. Cong focus on shaping the business plan. RS.Tai and Foo Were finding great content and compiled it into informative detail. William was a great leader at guiding all the novices to the goal. I was busy with my work or looking at the conversation remotely. Although our team did not win, the friendship and value were so much greater in our current entrepreneur path.

Heislyc Loh, founder of Startup Mamak guide the team members to interview strangers on the road. While, Anthony Law of MagicPay team went around the shopping mall for opinion. John Tan from I-Home team even drove to some developers' office to pitch his idea. Everyone was so eager to find out weather their idea able to work in the market.
Platform was at our door step, Johor Bahru. Participants get free domain name, free Google Cloud platform, cooperative team members and idea been validated. The business can just launched in 54 hours. Is it all worth it?
In conclusion, LerLer like to congrats the wining teams. Congratulation to all participants. You have gain an experience like never before (may be in the future too). Good jobs to the organizers. All the best to the incubator teams. I look forward for Johor Team in the global challenges.

Back to the topic. MyVoucherBee is a mobile application by Johor Bahru starts up. As LerLer's background in computer science, I can't help exploring this app. To add on, some of the girls like to use vouchers to save money. Ya. That is me. A bonus point to the app. Not enough money ahhhhhhh
What inspire them to create this app?
We are consumers. We have been enjoying the benefit of vouchers from various companies like Watson, McDonalds, or Aeon. However, there are some issues with these vouchers. If it is paper vouchers, we tend to forget to bring along. Another issue is, there is no one place to get all vouchers. We have to go to different websites, magazine or promotion book to collect them. This is quite time consuming and troublesome. Thus, MyVoucherBee is developed by Infinete Loop Media to solve all issues above. When you go out, vouchers will be in your pocket.
