My time twin and her friends come to Johor Bahru to attend Zumba class. I feel very happy to meet them up again. This time, I will be the host to show them so good food in Johor Bahru. I will proved them that Johor Bahru also have great food.

First stop: Restaurant Ah Kaw
San Lou Fried Mee Hoon
It is originated from Johor Bahru in 1979. Since then, it became the signature dishes of Johor Bahru. What so different from the normal fried mee hoon.
1) The mee hoon is steamed before. IT have this very soft texture. The chef need to control the timing. If too soft, the mee hoon will cluster together. If too hard, the texture is gone.
2) The work must be quite hot. This way, the mee hoon can have a hard crust on the outer layer.
3) Not too dry. Not too wet. The "wok qi" mst be just nice

Curry Fish Head
The curry have lots of vegetable in it.

Large chuck of fish meat. The gravy blend so well with the meat

Belacan Fried Daun Ubi Kayu
This dish is a bit salty

Marmie Sauce Fried Chicken

Each piece of chicken meat is nicely wrapped with marmie sauce and sesame.

Special Fried Tofu
Even after 30 minutes, the tofu is still quite hot.

Dipped with mayonnaise sauce is very delicious

Total expenses: RM 112.00
