Today is public holiday. Mr. Ang and I go to Desaru beach to relax ourselves. Desaru beach is around 60km distance from Johor Bahru. By using Senai-Desaru Highway (hmm) with RM8.00 toll, travellers can reach the beach in 1 hour 30 minutes.
After having fun in Desaru beach, we drive to Sungai Rengit, Pengerang for lunch. Sungai Rengit is famous for its lobster. The rocky shoreline around the beach is a cozy place lobster to nest. That is the place where fishermen catch them too.
During my secondary school period, my dad used to bring us to eat seafood at Lucky Seafood Restaurant. It seem that Luck Seafood Restaurant's boss passed away 2 years ago. The original shop has changed to a motorbike shop. I miss that restaurant. Hopefully, someone can tell me where is the restaurant now?
Butter Lobster RM130.00
Fresh lobster is deep fried with butter. The fresh is a bit salty but retain the lobster sweetness.
The lobster fresh can be easily shell off just by using chopstick and spoon. I really enjoy this dish
Indonesia Style Fried Baby Squid RM16.00
It is very crunchy. The soft bone is still inside the baby squid. After chewing some time, I can taste some bitterness.
Sambal Fried Kang Kung RM12.00
The taste is well blended. However, it is a bit oily. As we enjoy the meal, we notice some interesting fact. Almost all the couple eat in this restaurant will order Sambal Fried Kang Kung. Is it due to Kang Kung low price? I have no idea.
Homemade Appetiser RM4.00
Total cost: RM169.00
Tip: Try to balance the meal with some steam dishes. We order too much oily dishes. In the oily, I feel very greasy.
