Rafflesia I finally meet you

gosh shocking, am I a magnet? may be my voice is too loud too. On 23/08/10, I called gunung gading headquarter to make rafessia inquiry. I still can remember clearly.


"Yes, this morning we just confirm there is a flower blooming."

I was so happy and excited....hehehe....... finally after n time of calling gunung gading head quarter, this is the most satisfying answer. That moment, i can see Rafflesia image firework was dancing around me.

After i thanks the receptionist, I told friends behind of me. Be aware that it is during project time. In such intense atmosphere, I saw flower petals around the lab. heheheheheheh.......... it is such good feeling when we coding until we lost track of everything.
muahahaha............

luckly , david pull me back to reality by asking so where is the location of the flower. some time, the distance is quite far...........
I don't know, and I don't care, no matter how deep the forest going to be, how steep or adventurous the journey is, I will travel just to view your beauty, Rafflesia.

Back to the story on 25/8/10
after i took car from car renter, i was shock to see a crowd at the hostel car park. then me and David realised that there will be 4 cars following us

CAR A = UNIMAS+UUM+UKM+UTEM
CAR B = UNIMAS+UKM+UTEM
CAR C= UTEM
CAR D = UTEM
CAR E = UTEM
CAR F = UMS+UTHM+UNIMAS

total university : 6
total visitors: 31

wow, 31 students from all part of Malaysia just to view rafflesia.

10.30am after breakfast, we drove to lundu. along the journey, there are many wild orkid to view. Thank to our driver, ah tye, we can sleep soundly thorough out the journey.

11.15am reach lundu town, drizzling started. i pray hard for a good weather. just give us a good weather.

A moment of history in my life, rafflesia flower appear in front of me.
First impression,
Question 1: where is the "fragrance"?
Answer: after rain, usually no smell

Question 2: why so small? (it is as big as my rice cooker only)
Answer: the big one can only view in sabah

After 20 minutes walk, we finally view it. such a beautiful flower. after 8 to 9 months of nurture as flower bud, it finally grow into a pretty flower. reservation was needed for this plant and forest.
